Website Layout and Content Updated FINALLY!

Time to celebrate! I finally finished the new Spinscythe.com layout! Check it out if you haven't already.

Now, I'm going to present the rest of the news in bullet format:

  • Top Priority: Working on a 7 track EP for Spinscythe right now. Nothing else will be worked on until this is finished. When it's finished, it'll be available online to stream for free and also sold for people who want the lossless, raw tracks (and to support the band 😃).
  • Working on comic scripts for Warz & Battlez (refreshed), The Monochrome Series, magic grapes, and Failed Miserably. Since I'm taking on 4 different strips here, don't expect anything to kick off anytime soon this year. I want to do it right, so I'll be starting with the scripts, then the artwork, and lastly the editing. Each series will be 50-60* comics per volume and will release once per week, on different days.

    * = Warz & Battlez itself is only be refreshed at the moment, meaning about 100 comics (most of them already released, some not) will be redone with new textures, new scripts, and better editing.
  • Working on a Spinscythe discord server. The fans will be able to join it and talk directly to me and Graye, as well as our close friends. There will be an update about it when it officially launches.
  • Don't tell me I'm taking on too much, but LUTA is also being worked on, albeit slowly. LUTA is more of a fun and relaxed project, focusing on video game covers and video game footage between Graye and me. As of right now, we're planning on releasing short clips of us playing games. The cover songs will come after the Spinscythe EP.
  • Expect more casual entries in the library. For now I have some old material up, and some stuff I wrote in college. If you know me closely and have some art you want to submit, contact me and show me what you got. Depending on what it is that you make, it may be better suited for my other blog.
That's about all I can think of for now. If anything new happens, you'll hear about it on this blog. Thanks for keeping up with and supporting Spinscythe!

Blog Revival 2017

Welcome to the official blog of Spinscythe - the band, website, and brand which many projects are produced under. My name is Jeremy, the founder and creator of Spinscythe.

To start, Spinscythe.com is getting a huge layout redesign. The design will not only come with new colors, but new content as well, including new webcomics, an online library, and a page for listening to Spinscythe music directly on the website. The design is nearly complete and will be implemented as soon as possible.

In other news, Spinscythe is working on it's debut album, Cerulean Times, and is in the studio recording as of this year. The album, long overdue, is planned to have 14 songs and is expected to run up to 70 minutes in length. As with everything under Spinscythe, the album is being produced independently and will be released as such. The sound of Cerulean Times cannot be described easily, but some genres that may apply are blues, rock and roll, heavy metal, and punk rock.

Some More Updates:

  • Spinscythe Comics will be releasing more comics in the near future, including new Warz & Battlez as well as three new series: Warz & Battlez Monochrome Series, Failed Miserably, and Magic Grapes.
  • New instrumentals to be uploaded on SoundCloud, YouTube, and ReverbNation.
  • Demo recordings for Cerulean Times will be released in due time.
  • Original stories, poetry, and art to be published in the Library of Spinscythe.com. There will also be opportunities for fans or other starving artists to submit their works as well.
  • A new band project, simply labeled LUTA, will happen. LUTA, consisting of the same members of Spinscythe, will compose video game song medleys, publish gaming video content, and produce a talk show about video games, anime, and pop culture.
  • Spinscythe's Twitch channel will eventually be used to live stream concerts online, straight from the band room. Footage will also be uploaded to the Spinscythe YouTube channel.
I'd like to thank everyone who kept up with Spinscythe and my various other projects over the years. Things have not always gone my way, and there have been years where I've put out no content. I apologize for this, and there's not much else to say. I am trying hard to remain human and also create the art I was born to create. With that being said, I am confident that there will be more updates to come soon on the status of all of these new projects. Thank you for your time.
